Practice Report: 9/12

Some notes, quotes and injury updates from Alabama's practice Wednesday afternoon...

It was sunny and 87 degrees at Alabama practice Wednesday afternoon. Though the Tide doesn't know which Arkansas quarterback they will face this weekend—Tyler Wilson, Brandon Allen or Brandon Mitchell—they're preparing for all three.

"There are a few unknowns for us," Saban said on the SEC Coaches Teleconference this morning in reference to preparing for three different quarterbacks. "We'll have to adjust and adapt to whatever it is we are facing."

The media was granted two periods to watch practice today. Here are some observations:

-The team was in full pads.

-Linebacker Adrian Hubbard, who sprained his left elbow during a scrimmage in camp, is still wearing a giant protective contraption with padding around it on his arm. It doesn't limit him at all though.

-The quarterbacks and wide receivers were working on short passes and red zone offense during the viewing periods.

-Wide receiver Kenny Bell had his right ankle taped and was limited during some of the drills.

-No one wore a black no-contact jersey. All previously injured players—Jesse Williams (concussion), Dee Milliner (hip) Reggie Ragland (ankle) and Brent Calloway (shoulder)—practiced and looked ready and healthy for Saturday.

-Head coach Nick Saban was acting as quarterback during defensive back drills. He's got an arm.
