McCarron Strives For Perfection

A.J. McCarron is a perfectionist. Despite completing 22 of 30 passes for 180 yards with two touchdown throws and surpassing Brodie Croyle's school record of 190 attempts without an interception in a Saturday evening 33-14 victory over Ole Miss, the Alabama quarterback would not even describe his performance as satisfactory.

He began the game with 176 throws without a pick and went to the locker room after the first half with the record of 195. Eleven more attempts in the second half increased the mark to 206. After only five games, the Alabama redshirt junior has chalked up twelve touchdown passes well within the school record of twenty set by Greg McElroy during the 2010 season. A.J. McCarron discusses the win, the progress of a budding star, freshman wide receiver Amari Cooper and the upcoming bye week.
