Practice Report: 10/4

Alabama had its final practice Thursday before getting a few days off for its bye weekend.

Some players plan to head home and rest up, some will watch the weekend's marquee matchups between SEC foes No. 5 Georgia and No. 6 South Carolina and No. 4 LSU and No. 10 Florida, and head coach Nick Saban will probably spend his "off" weekend at the office.

There wasn't too much to see at today's practice as the media was only granted one period to watch, but here are some injury updates:

-Wide receiver Kevin Norwood, who has frequently been limited with a nagging foot/ankle injury, was playing catch on the sideline instead of practicing. He was fully dressed out in pads, but also had a wrap around his left calf.

-Cornerback Deion Belue (shoulder) wore a black no-contact jersey.

The team will return to its normal weekly routine on Monday as it begins preparation for its first trip to Columbia to face conference newbie Missouri on Oct. 13.
