Weekend Visit To Missouri On Tap

The Missouri Tigers have a huge game coming up this Saturday, as they send off eighteen seniors and try to become bowl eligible during their black out game. They will do so with a talented Georgia athlete in the house.

ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with 2013 WR prospect Donovahn Jones  6'3"  195  4.45  Hampton (GA) Dutchtown, who is verbally committed to Missouri.  His Dutchtown team was just recently eliminated from the playoffs, and Jones told me that he will begin basketball practice this week.  He also gave us an update on his recruitment.

Dutchtown finished their season at 6-4, following a 28-43 loss to Jonesboro last Friday.

"I wasn't ready for it to end like that,"  said Jones.

Jones has one official visit planned, to Missouri for this weekend, when the Tigers host Syracuse.

"I'll be at Missouri this weekend,"  said Jones, who confirmed that he is solidly committed to Missouri.  "I am solid with Missouri."

Jones said that he doesn't know if he'll visit anyone else.  Missouri's the only official visit that he has planned at present.

"We just beat Tennessee in four overtimes,"  said Jones, who watched the Tiger's 4 OT, 51-48 win over Tennessee.

Jones is looking forward to coming to Missouri and getting started on learning the wide receiver position.

"I can't wait to get to Missouri,"  said Jones.

We'll have more on Jones later.
