Well it's official—No. 1 Notre Dame and No. 2 Alabama will play in the BCS National Championship Game in Miami on Jan. 7.
ESPN released the final BCS standings on its countdown show Sunday night.
The Fighting Irish will be playing for their 12th national championship, while the Crimson Tide will be playing for their 15th, second in a row, and third in four years.
Alabama beat Georgia Saturday in Atlanta 32-28 for the SEC Championship crown to seal its trip to South Florida.
Six SEC teams—No. 2 Alabama, No. 3 Florida, No. 7 Georgia, No. 8 LSU, No. 9 Texas A&M and No. 10 South Carolina—take up spots in the final top 10.
