Jeremy Fowler of CBS Sports was the first to report the news.
Cristobal interviewed for the position last week.
Cristobal, 42, was fired by FIU in December and was hired by his alma mater Miami in January. Now he's headed to Alabama to replace offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland, who accepted the same position with the Philadelphia Eagles last month.
Cristobal is a huge get for the Crimston Tide in developing what is now a young offensive line after losing veterans Chance Warmack, Barrett Jones and D.J. Fluker, and in terms of South Florida recruiting.
Alabama has yet to announce the news.
