Another big visit weekend on tap

Alabama hosted the top player in the nation on Thursday, but its moving right along in recruiting as more elite prospects descend on Tuscaloosa. For a complete list of expected visitors, their stance with Alabama and much more, get inside.

Lorenzo Carter (pictured above) is arguably the most athletic defensive end in the entire class of 2014. He's already a five-star and the No. 4 overall player in the country, but he's also a basketball star for Norcross (Ga.) High, and he recently helped the Blue Devils to their second-straight hoops state title just months after teaming with Alabama signee Alvin Kamara and company to lead the Norcross football team to the state title.

Carter is known for big-time sacks and elite closing speed, but he can throw down a windmill dunk in the process. It is for these reasons and much, much more that the 6-foot-6, 235-pounder is a major target nationally.

The Crimson Tide will have the next shot to court Carter on Friday, as he takes in Tuscaloosa for an unofficial visit. He headlines a weekend that is filled with big names in the state and nationally as prospects travel to take in Alabama's initial spring practice on Saturday.

Offerees like Homewood (Ala.) offensive lineman Jordan Sims and Montgomery (Ala.) Carver linebacker Shaun Hamilton should be in town among others, so Nick Saban and company have a shot to impress top targets all at once.

The list of expected visitors usually shuffles a few times as plans change or get rescheduled, so get into our weekend visitor thread (below)for the latest on each prospect and where he stands not only with his visit, but with the Crimson Tide.
