Two Tide Players On Receiver List

As predicted, C.J. Mosley was not nominated for the Biletnikoff Award, which goes to the nation's top college receiver. This is the season for those making post-season awards to reveal their "watch lists" of players who can be expected to be in competition, and Mosley, Bama's upcoming senior linebacker, has been one of the most mentioned. But today was for the offense.

The Biletnikoff Award will be presented to the nation's top receiver at the end of the year. Tuesday, the organization revealed its initial watch list and two Alabama receivers were on it.

Upcoming senior Kevin Norwood and sophomore Amari Cooper are on the list.

Norwood has been Mr. Clutch for the past two seasons, particularly in the two most recent critical victories over LSU. Last year he had 29 receptions for 461 yards and four touchdowns.

Norwood is a 6-1, 195-pound three-year letterman from D'Iberville, Miss.

Cooper, 6-1, 202, was a consensus Freshman All-America as he broke the Alabama school record with 11 receiving touchdowns. He broke Julio Jones' freshman records for receptions (59) and receiving yards (1,000).

He is a native of Miami.
