Saban Updates Tide Injury Situtation

As previously reported, Alabama ornerback Deion Belue, the senior returning starter, continues to be limited as he rehabilitates his hamstring issue. There are a couple of others nursing injuries as the Crimson Tide approaches Saturday's scrimmage.

On Thursday, Alabama Coach Nick Saban updated the situations with freshman running back Alvin Kamara and sophomore defensive lineman Wilson Love.

He said Kamara had an arthroscopic procedure on his knee. "It's not very serious," Saban said. "It's probably very similar to what Mark Ingram had a couple of years ago. He will probably be out for a couple of weeks.

"He was doing extremely well. He's going to be a really good player and this is not something that would supercede us continuing to try to use him this year if he can come back and learn while he's not out there and be able to continue to develop by learning from other people's mistakes watching film. Sometimes you can see the big picture better that way than you can when you're out there right in the middle of it."

The coach was not specific as to the situation with Love. He said, "Wilson Love has a medical issue, is day-to-day, should be back any day. Not really a major problem. So we'll just kind of go from there."
