'Bama commits predict the big one

You may have heard that Alabama plays a big game in College Station, Texas this weekend with significance not only in the SEC West, but nationally. Oh yea, the Crimson Tide plays the only team that beat them a season ago. Get inside to see what Alabama's commitments had to say about the big game.

Alabama at Texas A&M.

The game has been circled on Nick Saban's calendar for some time, and it has been circled on even the average college football fans' for just as long.

We all know the game is much bigger than No. 1 vs. No. 6, and Alabama's verbal commitments feel the same way. BamaMag.com caught up with several for their score predictions heading into the colossal clash.

Ross Pierschbacher, 2014 four-star guard

"35-17 'Bama, A&M's defense is too shaky," he said. "RTR!!"

Montel McBride, 2014 three-star guard

"I don't even know, all I konw is it's going to be a good game," he said. "I want 'Bama to win, of course, but I don't know about it."

Keith Holcombe, 2014 three-star linebacker

"The (Tide) offense will dominate and show everyone they can play and Johnny Manziel will make some plays but not enough for the D," he said. "45-20, 'Bama of course. It should be a great game."

David Cornwell, 2014 four-star quarterback

"You're gonna expect a Johnny Manziel shut-down," he said. "If I know Coach Saban well, and I think I do, he's got everyone ready. With two weeks to prepare and the ultimate mastermind in college football, I think they're going to shut him down.

"My prediction from the start was 'Bama by 10 points, I don't know how the offense will do but I know Coach [Doug] Nussmeier will get under them. 'Bama by at least 10 points."

Many predict Manziel to be contained.

Viane Talamaivao, 2014 four-star guard

"'Bama 69, TAMU 7!" he said. "'Bama gets things rollin' this week with the offensive line! Roll Tide all the way from Cali!"

Stephen Roberts, 2014 four-star cornerback

"'Bama 34, Texas A&M 14," he said.

Ricky Town, 2015 five-star quarterback

"28-21,'Bama wins," he said.

Dallas Warmack, 2015 four-star guard

"I think 'Bama's gonna win 21-14, it's gonna be a close game," he said. "'Bama's defense is gonna be great and the O-line is gonna be better than last week's."

Shaun Hamilton, 2014 three-star linebacker

"'Bama 42-24," he said. "'Bama is going to be a totally different team from what we saw vs. Virginia Tech."

Mekhi Brown, 2015 four-star defensive end

"'Bama 35-20," he said. "'Bama is much more prepared this year."
