Nine Alabama players were recognized by the coaching staff for their performances following Saturday's win over Georgia State. Cyrus Kouandjio, A.J. McCarron and DeAndrew White were named players of the week on offense. Xzavier Dickson, C.J. Mosley and A'Shawn Robinson represented the defense while Cade Foster, Dee Hart and Dillon Lee were on the special teams list.

Alabama had little trouble in a 45-3 win over Georgia State and most of the starters played less than a half. This week the Crimson Tide will go to Kentucky for a Southeastern Conference game against the Wildcats. Kickoff time will be at 7 p.m. EDT (6 p.m. central time) with television coverage by ESPN2.

Kouandjio had the top grade on the offensive line and did not allow any sacks or pressures. The first team offense scored touchdowns on each of the first five drives of the game. McCarron started with 12 straight completions and finished 15-of-16 for 166 yards while tying a career-high with four touchdowns in less than a half of play. He broke Ken Stabler's (16-19) mark for completion percentage in a game. White caught four passes for 45 yards and one touchdown, which was a one-handed grab from 10 yards out.

Mosley, who has been a defensive player of the week in all five games this season, once again led the team in tackles with six in just over two quarters of action. He had two tackles for loss and Alabama held Georgia State to just 41 yards in the first half. The Crimson Tide defense has limited opponents to 10 or less points in four of five games this year. Dickson was credited with two tackles and had the only sack of the game. Robinson, a true freshman, made his first career start at defensive end and finished with two tackles and one tackle for loss.

The defense recorded eight tackles for loss in the game.

Foster connected on his only field goal attempt of the game as well as all five of his extra point attempts. He averaged 63.1 yards with one touchback on seven kickoffs. He also made a tackle on kickoff coverage.

Hart made a big play early on the kickoff coverage team when he forced a fumble and Lee returned it six yards to the Georgia State 10-yard line. Alabama scored on the next play to go up 21-0 in the first quarter.
