Iso Cam: Keith Holcombe

Alabama's local class of 2014 pledge is Keith Holcombe, the linebacker and Tide legacy who flipped his commitment to Nick Saban's program from Mississippi State in late July. Scout took in his most recent game in our latest Iso Cam feature, where subscribers can see the three-star in action closer than ever before.

Prospect: Keith Holcombe

Vitals: 6-foot-3, 213 lbs

Position: Outside Linebacker

Class: 2014

Hometown: Tuscaloosa, Ala.

School: Hillcrest High School

Ranking: | No. 31 OLB nationally.

Recruiting: Committed to Alabama, where his father also played. Holcombe is as solid as can be and will not visit any other school.

Quick Take: The senior does it all for Hillcrest, lining up as an inside linebacker, outside linebacker, defensive end and even as a safety in end of half or end of game scenarios. Long and lean, Holcombe is a force coming off the edge, but he also makes plays downhill against the run and can move sideline to sideline in addition to dropping into coverage effectively. His range and tenacity, along with football IQ are his strengths, while he needs to add size and explosiveness to become a complete player in the SEC. The most impressive play to be seen below is when he splits a pair of blockers before chasing down a running back from behind and making the play.

Check out 60-plus reps of Holcombe, sporting No. 4 in red, from last Friday's game against Tuscaloosa County below.
