Norwood Has Career Day Versus Volunteers

Fifth-year senior Kevin Norwood had a day to remember against the Vols on Saturday and broke it all down soon after.

Kevin Norwood has proven over the course of his Alabama (8-0, 5-0) career to be a productive and clutch wide receiver. He accomplished a career milestone with a 112 receiving yards Saturday in the Tide's 45-10 domination of Tennessee (4-4, 1-3) at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa. One of his six catches was a first quarter 22-yard touchdown pass from Tide quarterback A.J. McCarron increasing the lead to 21-0.

His longest reception of the day was the most spectacular, a 34-yard gain on a back shouldered throw down to the Tennessee six. He laid out with both arms stretched to the limit landing prone on his back to haul in the pass. Norwood recorded his third touchdown pass of the season giving him eight for his career. The "overlooked" fifth-year senior wide receiver was thrilled to continue the seven year winning streak against the Volunteers.
