Running Updates - Super Six

Alabama's premier high school event kicks off Thursday at Bryant-Dennery Stadium as each of the six high school classifications will crown a champion over two days of football. Stay with for the latest in each game inside.

Kerryon Johnson and Madison Academy (Ala.) kicked off the 2013 Super Six Championships in Tuscaloosa Thursday, defeating Leeds (Ala.) High for the 3A crown. The four-star junior has offers from all over the country, and is focusing primarily on Alabama, Auburn and Florida State at this time.

At 3:00 p.m., Maplesville (Ala.) High and Pickens County (Ala.) High battle for the 1A crown.

Capping Day 1 at 7:00 p.m. will be the battle for 5A, as Spanish Fort (Ala.) High takes on Muscle Shoals (Ala.) High in a battle of strength vs. strength as the Toros high-scoring offense battles arguably the top defense in the state.
