Jones back with 'Bama

Laurence "Hootie" Jones both committed and de-committed from Alabama in the month of December, and he begins the new year by pledging to Nick Saban's program again.

The last five weeks have been quite the event for four-star Monroe (La.) Neville defensive back Laurence Jones, a.k.a. "Hootie."

He committed to Alabama onn December 2, in an emotional win for Nick Saban's program over home-state LSU. Just over two weeks later, after an official visit to Tuscaloosa, the safety prospect opened things back up, citing pulling the trigger too soon.

During the Under Armour All-America practice week, Jones said his pending commitment was a three-team race between the Crimson Tide, Tigers and Ole Miss Rebels.

However, after the 2014 Under Armour game, Jones spoke to his monther and once again committed to Alabama, has learned.

Jones is now the 25th commitment in the class of 2014 for Saban's program, one that added five-star cornerback Tony Brown earlier on the night. currently ranks Jones, who is set to enroll at Alabama in a matter of days after graduating high school early, as the No. 7 safety prospect nationally.
