The new NCAA rules featured a month-long dead period during the All-Star and holiday season for this cycle, but the period has come to an end. Alabama's staff, like many, will come out of the gates on Thursday in seeing many of the top targets in person before the big official visit weekend.
Nick Saban, Kirby Smart, Lane Kiffin, Bobby Williams, Mario Cristobal, Billy Napier, new defensive line coach Bo Davis and the rest of the Alabama
coaching staff will be hitting the road Thursday and Friday, before a massive official visit weekend, to see the nation's top talent as each looks to help close out the class of 2014.
The Crimson Tide already has a significant lead on the rest of the nation's programs in the 2014 Scout.com recruiting rankings, but Saban and company are most well-known for the close.
It begins Thursday, with the month-long dead period in the rear view mirror, as the staff will hit the road to see top targets and commitments all over the country.
BamaMag.com, which has learned of at least four five-stars the staff is expected to see on Thursday alone, will track the visits as the information is gathered, and subscribers can keep up within the premium member forum or via the link below throughout the week.
