"I did," he said after visiting Alabama over the weekend.
Coker, who prepped at Mobile (Ala.) St. Paul's Episcopal and signed with FSU in the class of 2011, let Nick Saban and company know that he was done with his search for a new school on Saturday evening. He replaced Alabama QB A.J. McCarron at St. Paul's, and now he has the chance to compete to replace him at Alabama as well.
"I'm real excited about it!" he said. "It's already gonna be a crazy day."
The junior, who stands 6-foot-5, 232 pounds, will have two seasons of eligibility remaining upon his graduation and transfer to Alabama. Coker is eligible to play immediately once he reports for camp this fall. Once the 2014 season begins, he'll be a redshirt junior on the field.
