Looking for a late flip

Alabama has the No. 1 recruiting class in America, led by a half-dozen five-star commitments, but it's looking for more down the stretch. The nation's No. 2 defensive end, Chad Thomas, headlines the final slate of official visitors set to take in Tuscaloosa.

"They are just going through the process," Time "Ice" Harris said to Scout this week in talking about his Miami (Fla.) Booker T. Washington stars taking official visits to schools they're not committed to during the cycle's final weekend.

Headlining the list is Chad Thomas, Scout.com's No. 2 defensive end, a five-star and the top player in Florida. A Miami commitment, Thomas took an official visit to Florida State last weekend and will be in Tuscaloosa for his final stop before pen meets paper on Wednesday.

Thomas maintains his solid pledge to the hometown Hurricanes, though he admittedly hasn't seen much of Alabama's campus during the process. He attended and performed well at Nick Saban's camp this summer, but has reiterated how he hasn't been able to see Tuscaloosa thoroughly. Now is his chance.

The No. 11 player in America isn't the only prospect currently committed to a school on the weekend visitor slate for Alabama, so review BamaMag's list and keep up with the news all weekend in one convenient place for premium subscribers (link below).
