Alabama adds pair of 2015 commitments

Alabama kicked off its initial junior day of the year in big fashion on Saturday, landing a pair of class of 2015 commitments soon after dozens of prospects arrived in Tuscaloosa.

With some of the top juniors on campus Saturday, Alabama picked up a pair of commitments shortly after its initial junior day of the year began.

One seemingly after the other, Lester Cotton and Daylon Charlot added their names to the class of 2015 commitment list.

Cotton, a local product from Tuscaloosa (Ala.) Central High School, has long favored the hometown school. The three-star offensive lineman was offered in the summer, and it was only a matter of when and not if he'd join Nick Saban's 2015 class.

"It's not just because of Alabama, and the recent championships," Cotton told Scout this fall. "I just love the team."

As for Charlot, he learned of his Crimson Tide offer on Saturday and committed shortly thereafter.

A Patterson (La.) wide receiver prospect, the junior had marked USC as his leader in October. Perhaps ironically, the head coach at that time was Lane Kiffin, Alabama's newly hired offensive coordinator.

Cotton is currently pegged as the No. 20 offensive guard prospect in the class by and Charlot currently comes in as the No. 43 wide receiver among the nation's juniors.
