Peters predicted it

Jamal Peters took his first trip to Tuscaloosa over the weekend, and he went home with some big news. More from the four-star safety talent inside.

Confidence is common among defensive backs, no matter the level, and Jamal Peters fits that mold as well.

Rightfully so.

The Bassfield (Miss.) junior is ranked as the No. 3 safety prospect in the class of 2015, per, and he thought he could add an Alabama offer to his growing list over the weekend during a junior day visit.

"I think so," Peters said on whether or not Nick Saban and company would pull the trigger. "It would mean a lot."

A few hours into his first Tuscaloosa experience, with his family on hand, the news was broken to him and his predictions came through.

"Its great" he said of the news. "The coaches say that they're are excited about me."

Peters envisions himself as a physical safety, but also a versatile one at 6-foot-3, 200 pounds.

"Hard work and dedication have got me here," he said. "I never thought I would ever be in this position but it's just a blessing.

"My strengths are tackling and coming down hill and Hitting you! My athleticism is crazy...I can cover, too. I can better there with drills."

The four-star knows he's athletic, and with his confidence, he also carries it on the hardwood as well.

A two-spot star in the making?

"I didn't grow up rooting for anyone, I mean I like to play basketball, too," he said. "So yea, I want to play both on the next level."

Peters, who plans on taking his recruitment slowly, says he hasn't brought up playing basketball in addition to football on the recruiting trail much.
