Alabama Baseball TV Schedule Set
Alabama's season and home opener is set for Friday, Feb. 14, at 6:05 p.m. CST, when Alabama hosts the Saint Louis Billikens in the first game of a three-game series at Sewell-Thomas Stadium.
Meanwhile, the SEC announced its television schedule for this season, a package that will include some 70 games including 17 games in the SEC Baseball Tournament.
The SEC is in the fifth year of a 15-year agreement with ESPN for many of the telecasts. Alabama will make seven television appearances during regular season play, appearing twice on ESPN, four times on Comcast Sports South (CSS), and once on Fox Sports Net (FSN).
Alabama is slated to make its first television appearance on Saturday, March 29, with game two of the home series against Ole Miss. First pitch for the middle game of the three-game series will be 6 p.m. CT and will be televised on CSS.
When the Crimson Tide travels to Columbia, S.C., games two and three of the SEC series will be televised on ESPN. The game on Saturday, April 26 will start at 1 p.m. CT and the series finale on Sunday, April 27 will have a noon CT first pitch.
When Alabama opens its three-game series against Florida on Friday, May 2, CSS will be at Sewell-Thomas Stadium to broadcast the game. First pitch for the series opener against the Gators will remain at 6:30 p.m. CT.
A pair of games will be televised when the Tide travels to Baton Rouge for a three-game series against the LSU Tigers. Saturday's game on May 10 has been picked up by FSN and will begin at 12 p.m. CT. The series finale on Sunday will be produced by CSS, with first pitch at 1 p.m. CT from Alex Box Stadium.
The final game of the Tide's regular season will be televised on CSS, when Alabama hosts 2013 CWS Runner-up Mississippi State on Saturday, May 17. First pitch for the series finale against the Bulldogs will be 3 p.m. CT.
The championship game of the tournament will air nationally on ESPN2, and for the second straight year, both semifinal games will air nationally on ESPNEWS. The package is derived from broadcasts on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPNEWS, Fox Sports and CSS. In addition, WatchESPN/ESPN3 will also stream most contests live online.
