UA Gymnasts Still Fourth In Nation

The Alabama gymnastics team remains No. 4 in the national ranking this week after posting a season-high score 197.675 to beat previously undefeated Florida last Friday in Coleman Coliseum.

Alabama has forged its scores against many of the nation's top teams, and that trend continues this week when the Crimson Tide hosts yet another of the nation's top ten.

LSU remains in the top spot this week followed by Florida and Oklahoma. The Crimson Tide remains fourth followed by No. 5 Georgia, No. 6 Utah, No. 7 Michigan, No. 8 UCLA, and No. 9 Nebraska. Stanford, the Tide's next opponent, rounds out the top 10.

Alabama is fourth on the balance beam, fifth on the vault, seventh on the uneven bars, and eighth on the floor exercise.

Senior Kim Jacob is ranked 13th on the balance beam and 23rd on the floor exercise after scoring a 9.950 against Florida.

Senior Diandra Milliner is ranked 12th on the vault while sophomore Lauren Beers is ranked 19th. Junior Kaitlyn Clark is ranked 23rd on the uneven bars while freshmen Aja Sims and Katie Bailey are ranked 22nd on the balance beam and 23rd in the all-around, respectively.

Alabama takes on Stanford this Friday at 7:30 p.m. in Coleman Coliseum. This will be Alabama's fifth home meet of the season.
