President Will Host Tide Men's Golf

he Alabama men's golf team has been invited to the White House by President Barack Obama on Monday, March 10, in recognition of the team's 2013 NCAA Championship.



Alabama men's golf team is among numerous 2012-13 NCAA Men's and Women's Championship teams that President Obama will be honoring in an afternoon ceremony on the South Lawn of the White House. The men's golf team will receive a tour of the White House before posing for a picture with the President.

Head coach Jay Seawell will be joined by Cory Whitsett, Bobby Wyatt, Trey Mullinax, Justin Thomas, Tom Lovelady, Lee Knox, Dru Love, William Sellers and Robby Prater. Rob Bradley, who was the Tide's assistant last season and the Purdue head coach this year, will also join his former team at the White House.

The Alabama team will get a tour of the United States Capitol Monday morning from the offices of Congresswomen Terri Sewell (Alabama's 7th district) and Congressman Robert Aderholt (Alabama's 4th district). The team will then be hosted for lunch by Congresswomen Sewell and Congressman Aderholt's Chiefs of Staff.
