Alabama Baseball Leading SEC

At approximately the halfway mark of Southeastern Conference baseball, through games of Saturday, April 12, Alabama has the best record of the 14 conference teams. But it's a razor thin lead.

Alabama baseball defeated Auburn Saturday to run the Crimson Tide Southeastern Conference record to 9-5. Bama leads the SEC West and has the best overall record. LSU is right behind at 8-5-1. South Carolina and Florida are tied for the lead in the Eastern Division with 8-6 marks.

In both divisions, only three games separate the top team from the bottom team. Missouri, at 5-9, is the only SEC team to not have at least six league wins.

Alabama and Auburn conclude their three-game series at 3 p.m. CDT Sunday at Sewell-Thomas Stadium.
