Quick Hitter: Tide to offer three-star?

Alabama hosted considerable talent this weekend for its A-Day festivities, and one of the in-state visitors yet to earn an Alabama offer feels that it could change sooner rather than later.

Alabama hosted Darryl Williams for spring practice less than two weeks ago, and it had him return to Tuscaloosa for the A-Day game on April 19.

He did, and it furthered the three-star offensive lineman's thinking that the Crimson Tide may be next on his offer list, joining Mississippi State and Kentucky within the SEC at this point.

"It went good, I think they're going to offer me soon," he said. "Coach [Mario] Cristobal really loves how I play and he wants to coach me bad. That's what he told me.

"The offer would be awesome, knowing a team like Alabama loves how I play football."

The Bessemer City (Ala.) standout, who is projected to play on the interior at the next level at center or guard, was also able to speak with a current player already doing so in college while in town.

"Everything was great," Williams said. "We met all the players and visited all the facilities.

"I talked to Ryan Kelly, he was just telling me how great Alabama is."

The 6-foot-3 1/2, 304-pound Williams, who was invited to Nike's The Opening after a head-turning performance at the Birmingham NFTC, has no favorites early on in his recruitment.

Video of the performance is available below.
