Wyatt Set For Tour Debut

Fresh off of a national title with Alabama, golfer Bobby Wyatt is expected to make his PGA Tour debut and he spoke exclusively to BamaMag.com about it.

The University of Alabama men's golf program has established a reputation for winning. Head Coach Jay Seawell has attracted and developed top level talent enabling the program to emerge on the national stage with back-to-back NCAA Championships in 2013 and 2014.

The golf world has taken notice of the rising stars responsible for the success especially the Travelers Championship. Bobby Wyatt is the fourth Tide golfer to receive a sponsor's exemption from the Nutmeg State based PGA Tour event held in Cromwell (Conn.) at the TPC River Highlands.

Alabama golf program alumni Michael Thompson (2008), Bud Cauley (2011) and Justin Thomas (2013) were prior recipients. The Mobile native (UMS-Wright HS) will be making his PGA Tour debut teeing off on Thursday, June 19th. Word of the hospitality shown by the Connecticut hosts has spread. "Oh, certainly. Like you said, they do a wonderful job of being nice to young players coming out and making their professional debuts," said Wyatt. "I think everyone wants to play in the Travelers Championship and debut here. It's a dream come true for me. I can't tell you how thrilled I am and thankful for the opportunity."

'BAMA Magazine/BamaMag.com was present on Tuesday afternoon to interview Bobby Wyatt immediately after entertaining questions from the media in his inaugural press conference as a professional.
