Oliver Luck Set To Select Four Teams

’BAMA Magazine/BamaMag.com was able to have an exclusive audience with College Football Playoff selection committee member and West Virgina director of athletics Oliver Luck -- and the entire video is available inside.

Football fans hearing the name Oliver Luck probably think first of him being the father of the outstanding former Stanford (2009-11) quarterback and current NFL superstar with the Indianapolis Colts, Andrew Luck. Oliver's first job, however, is director of athletics at West Virginia, where he was quarterback (1978-82) before having his own NFL career with the Houston Oilers (1982-86). Oliver seems content to stay out of the limelight enjoyed by his talented son. But he will be prominent on the national college football stage this year.

Luck is one of 13 members of the initial College Football Playoff selection committee that will choose the four teams in contention for the national championship (as well as other bowl participants). No sports group has ever come under the scrutiny this one faces.
