Tide set for Curry's second year

Kristy Curry enters her second year as the head coach of the Alabama women's basketball team. The Tide finished last year with a 14-16 record (7-9, tied for 6th with 4 other SEC teams). Significant victories included a 57-55 win over no. 9 Kentucky, the program's first in Lexington since 2002 and first road triumph over a top-10 team since 1998. A 66-62 win over Vanderbilt was the first in school history over the Commodores on the road. They finished the regular season with a convincing 78-60 defeat of the LSU Tigers, the first since 2002.

Senior forward Briana Hutchen (6-1) and Krsity Curry met the media in Coleman Coliseum to discuss the 2014-15 season. Alabama opens the season at home in Foster Auditorium with an exhibition game against North Alabama at 2 PM on Sunday, November 9th.
