Alabama Center Declares Tide No. 1

Ryan Kelly speaks to reporters after Alabama's upset of No. 1 Mississippi State.

Alabama (9-1, 6-1, #5) rushed for 124 yards on 32 attempts in the 25-20 win over top-ranked Mississippi State (9-1, 5-1, #1) Saturday afternoon at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa. The total was a few decimal points more than the Bulldogs rush defense allows (123.6) but far less than the Tide normally totals per game (218.6/5.1 per attempt). Ryan Kelly is glad to have dual-threat quarterback Blake Sims contributing to the run game.

The Mississippi State front seven posed a challenge for Alabama holding them to a 3.9 per carry average for the afternoon. Listen and watch the redshirt junior center heap praise on the development of his quarterback, discuss the effectiveness of punter J.K. Scott and declare the Tide as the top team in the land.
