Video: Saban at the podium

Not thoroughly pleased with the 48-14 win over Western Carolina, Alabama coach Nick Saban did give injury updates following Saturday's homecoming win.

Alabama (10-1, 6-1, No. 1) defeated Western Carolina (7-5, 5-2) 48-14 Saturday afternoon at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Homecoming Day in Tuscaloosa. The Tide fell behind 7-0 in the initial 3:03 of the first quarter after the Catamounts drove 75-yards for a score on their opening drive. Lack of energy and enthusiasm was the reason for lackluster play to begin the game according to the Alabama head coach.

Listen and watch Nick Saban give an injury update as a handful of Alabama players went down during the game. He also details the status of players held out with nagging injuries and the play of reserves. The overwhelming victory allowed many of the backups an opportunity for meaningful experience. Second-string quarterback Jacob Coker was at the helm the entire second half finishing 12-18 and 115 yards passing along with one TD throw.
