Nick Perry Talks Focus And Injuries

Nick Perry speaks to the media following Alabama's homecoming win over Western Carolina on Saturday.

Safety Nick Perry and the Alabama (10-1, 6-1, No. 1) defense seemed preoccupied with the Iron Bowl game scheduled for next Saturday. Western Carolina (7-5, 5-2) grabbed their attention with an early impressive 75-yard scoring drive on their first possession. Alabama rallied after the deficit to convincingly defeat the Catamounts from the Southern Conference, 48-14, at Bryant Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa.

The Homecoming FCS opponent scored more points, 14, than five FBS teams recorded against the Tide this season. Alabama had shown a concentration level of a championship caliber defense in the prior five games.

Nick Perry reveals the halftime message expressed by a displeased Nick Saban. Listen and watch the fifth-year senior address the questions concerning the injury to wide receiver Amari Cooper and other teammates. The Pratville (Ala.) native finished with two tackles, one solo. After 11 games, he has 58 total tackles, 38 solo, four pass break ups, five pass deflections, a single quarterback hurry, one-and-a half tackles for loss and a lone interception.
