Landon Collins Not Surprised By Fake FG

Landon Collins talks Tide win, big hit, and looks ahead to the Iron Bowl with reporters on Saturday.

Western Carolina (7-5, 5-2) had driven deep into Alabama (10-1, 6-1, No. 1) territory. Facing a fourth down and three at the Tide 14 in the third quarter, the Catamounts ran a fake field goal play. The holder flipped the ball over his should to the place kicker running around right end. Junior All-America safety candidate Landon Collins was ready and tackled Richard Sigmon for no gain.

Alabama defeated Western Carolina 48-14 on Saturday afternoon on Homecoming Day at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa. Collins led the team in tackles with seven, four solo and was credited with a half tackle for loss in the win. After 11 games, Collins is the team's second leading tackler with 75, 39 solo. He has 2.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions, five pass breakups, eight pass deflections and two quarterback hurries. The Louisiana native describes the mental approach the team has embraced each week and the upcoming Iron Bowl game.
