Video: Cotton Dominates Mississippi

Lester Cotton is one of Alabama's most versatile commitments, and his skill-set was on display all week while representing Alabama against Mississippi's best. Playing guard for the first time in 15 months, Cotton's transition was near seamless to the point that he dominated the trenches all afternoon long. BamaMag was on hand and has video of the performance.

Prospect: Lester Cotton

Vitals: 6-foot-4, 328 lbs

Position: Offensive Line

Class: 2015

Hometown: Tuscaloosa, Ala.

School: Central High School Rating/Ranking: | No. 5 OG

Recruiting: Verbally Committed to Alabama

Quick Take: Cotton played tackle for the majority of his high school career, including the entirety of his senior season, but his projection at the next level is on the interior so he kicked inside during the week leading up to the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game earlier this month. After a slow start, he became the dominant force most have come to expect during the week and it carried over into the game. Cotton registered pancake-after-pancake, executed blocks on the run and at the second level well and held his own in pass protection against fellow SEC-bound talents. BamaMag was on hand and has several examples of the dominant performance below.
