Blue talks Crimson Tide offer

One of the more versatile prospects in Alabama's class of 2016 is P.J. Blue. The Scout300 prospect is expected to field a who's who offer list, to which he recently added the Alabama Crimson Tide while on a visit.

Position projections make the recruiting industry even more open for debate, and prospects like P.J. Blue are often in the center of those discussions on the defensive side of the football.

The Scout300 talent is 6-foot-2, 198 pounds, and plays several spots at Jemison (Ala.) High. He doesn't know where he may fit best, and Nick Saban and Alabama is wondering the same.

However, it didn't slow his staff from offering Blue at a recent junior day event.

"Junior Day, Coach Saban offered and said they really want me and that I need to find out what my best position could be at the next level," he said. "It’s a blessing, I’m happy to have it. I don’t know how it compares to my other offers, but I’m just blessed and happy to be able to have these offers."

Blue, an early four-star and top-10 prospect in the Yellowhammer State, is currently pegged as an outside linebacker. He also plays safety and offense at the prep level.

Apparently it was no secret that the Crimson Tide was about to officially jump into the race for his services leading up to the visit.

"I kind of saw it coming throughout that week, they’ve been checking on me and when I got there, I could tell it was coming by the attention I was getting," he said. "It was Coach (Bo) Davis and Coach (Kirby) Smart. They say I’m a really good athlete and that I’m versatile."

Adding that he wants to add offers from Ohio State, Michigan and Florida State, Blue is in no rush to end the recruiting process any time soon. He is currently the No. 269 prospect in the country.
