This will be the Crimson Tide’s ninth meet and fourth road meet of the season. Alabama and the Tigers last met during the regular season on Jan. 10, 2014 when the Tide won with a score of 197.150-193.425. Alabama last traveled to Columbia to open the 2013 season, which marked Missouri gymnastics’ first competition as a member of the Southeastern Conference.
The Missouri competition is the first of two meets for the Crimson Tide this weekend. Alabama will face off with No. 9 Auburn on Sunday, March 8 in Birmingham, Ala., in the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Center at 3 p.m. Tickets to the Auburn meet are available at ElevateTheStage.com.
Bama is led by junior Lauren Beers, who is ranked seventh on the uneven bars and 22nd on the vault, and senior Kaitlyn Clark, who was named SEC Gymnast of the Week following the Crimson Tide’s Feb. 20 win at Georgia.
