NFL Scouts Check Out Tide Players Wednesday

The meat market work of the National Football League continues this week with scouts from all NFL teams expected in Tuscaloosa Wednesday to see what is available from this year’s Alabama football crop. Pro Day at Alabama typically attracts a large number of scouts to see a large group of good prospects.

The event, which is not open to the public, will involve former Alabama players being measured and weighed and participating in such events as the vertical and broad jumps, bench press, 40-yard dash, agility drills, and position specific work. All players will not necessarily participate in all events.

The roster of the 17 expected to participate:

Offensive lineman Leon Brown, wide receiver Amari Cooper, running back Jalston Fowler, wide receiver Christion Jones, offensive lineman Arie Kouandjio, offensive lineman Austin Shepherd, quarterback Blake Sims, tight end Brian Vogler, wide receiver DeAndrew White, running back T.J. Yeldon, defensive back Landon Collins, linebacker Trey DePriest, linebacker Xzavier Dickson, defensive lineman Brandon Ivory, defensive lineman Anthony Orr, defensive back Nick Perry, and defensive back Jarrick Williams.
