California OT Williams commits to 'Bama

It is no secret that Alabama is prioritizing tackle prospects in the class of 2016, and it got ideal news on that front Saturday when Scout300 California offensive tackle Jonah Williams pledged to Nick Saban and company.

Folsom (Calif.) High offensive line prospect Jonah Williams has been highly coveted for some time, holding more than two-dozen verbal scholarship offers, but there's one part of him being a national recruit that is unlike most of his peers.

His social media presence.

On Twitter, the four-star followed many people leading up to Saturday, but never shared a message before announcing his verbal commitment to the University of Alabama following a spring practice visit.

While Williams' first-ever Tweet may remain his most popular, the motivation behind it is welcome news in the Crimson Tide community, coming off of a sub-par week of football news from multiple dismissals to multiple ACL tears to promising young players.

The 6-foot-5, 280-pound senior-to-be made his decision while in Tuscaloosa, becoming just the sixth member of Nick Saban's class of 2016. However, the verbal pushed the UA class into the top 20 on Scout.com, checking in at No. 16 overall despite having fewer pledges than each program ranked higher save for Texas A&M and Penn State (each with five).
