A Guess At Line-Ups For A-Day Game

Alabama released its rosters for Saturday’s A-Day Game with Jake Coker and Alec Morris the quarterbacks with the first offense on the White team that will be going against the first defense.

Alabama Coach Nick Saban continued his practice of putting the first offense and second defense against the first defense and second offense for Saturday’s A-Day Game. Kickoff will be at 2 p.m. CDT in Bryant-Denny Stadium. There is no admission charge.

Taking a guess – repeat, guess -- at a starting lineup for each team based on our previous guess at a depth chart along with the rosters, it seems it will be:

WHITE OFFENSE – Wide receivers Chris Black, Robert Foster, and Ardarius Stewart; tight end O.J. Howard; left tackle Cam Robinson; left guard Ross Pierschbacher; center Ryan Kelly; right guard Bradley Bozeman; right tackle Dominick Jackson; quarterback Jacob Coker; and tailback Derrick Henry.

WHITE DEFENSE – Right end Da’Shawn Hand; left end Josh Frazier; nose tackle O.J. Smith; jack linebacker Christian Miller; strongside linebacker Rashan Evans; middle linebacker Shaun Dion Hamilton; weakside linebacker Keith Holcombe; right cornerback Anthony Averett; left cornerback Marlon Humphrey; and safeties Hootie Jones and Ronnie Harrison.

CRIMSON OFFENSE – Wide receivers Raheem Falkins, Derek Kief, and Parker Barrineau; tight end Ty Flournoy-Smith; left tackle Korren Kirven; left guard Isaac Luatua; center J.C. Hassenauer; right guard Alphonse Taylor; right tackle Brandon Greene; quarterback David Cornwell (or Cooper Bateman or Blake Barnett); tailback Ronnie  Clark or DeSherrius Flowers; and fullback Michael Nysewander.

CRIMSON DEFENSE – Right end Jarran Reed or D.J. Pettway; left end Jonathan Allen; nose tackle A’Shawn Robinson or Darren Lake; jack linebacker Tim Williams; strongside linebacker Dillon Lee; middle linebacker Reuben Foster; weakside linebacker Reggie Ragland; right cornerback Tony Brown; left cornerback Bradley Sylve; safeties Geno Smith and Eddie Jackson.

Punter JK Scott and snapper Cole Mazza are listed with the White squad and placekicker Adam Griffith with the Crimson team. Gunnar Raborn is a placekicker and Chris Kenney a punter and placekicker for the White, and Adrian Lamothe is listed as a punter and John Morrison as snapper on the Crimson side.

While the kickers will perform, the return game will be restricted.

No one we have seen as a fullback is listed on the White roster. Nysewander and Flournoy-Smith are both on the Crimson roster and Corey McCarron was not on either roster.
