Alabama’s quest for offensive linemen in the 2016 recruiting class got a nice boost Wednesday when the state’s top offensive tackle committed to the Crimson Tide.
Deonte Brown, a 6-4, 335-pound offensive tackle at Austin High School in Decatur became Alabama’s eighth commitment for the upcoming recruiting class.
Brown, who is projected as either a guard or tackle in college, is a four-star prospect. In addition to being ranked first in the state at his position, he is the sixths-ranked offensive tackle in the South and No. 23 in the nation.
Alabama had long been considered as the leader for this powerful offensive lineman.
