Scout300 prospect and Farmington Hills (Mich.) Harrison High prospect Khalid Kareem announced his commitment to the University of Alabama on Wednesday.
Kareem and his family visited Tuscaloosa for A-Day on April 18 and again earlier this month during the Crimson Tide's OL/DL camp on June 13.
“He (Khalid) liked Alabama a whole lot,” Ken Kareem, his father, said after their A-Day visit. “He could definitely see himself playing there. He likes the facilities and he likes that position (JACK). We got a chance to see it live, they told us a few guys to keep an eye on since it was the position he would be playing. It’s basically a hybrid D-end. Either way, you’re coming off the edge as a pass-rusher, so we bought in.
“Alabama, he can definitely play there. There aren’t too many schools I don’t think he can play at, but he’s big and versatile enough to play the position, that JACK position.”
