Demetrice Vaughn To Walk-On At Alabama

Nick Saban and company have recruited top talent across the board but one unit lacking depth due to injury, a dismissal, a transfer and academic eligibility issues is the running back position. Demetrice Vaughn, a two-star class of 2015 prospect is scheduled to be a walk-on at The Capstone.

Alabama will welcome the 5-8, 214 pound running back out of Blount HS (Prichard, AL) to improve the roster situation. He is noted for having good vision, quickness and cutting ability while lacking top end speed. Demetrice Vaughn rushed for 1,832 yards and scored 18 touchdowns on 222 carries as a senior. He caught eight passes for 129 yards and finished with two touchdown receptions. Originally a 2015 February signee with Mississippi Delta Community College, Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Miami and Ole Miss were among the schools that showed interest but did not offer a scholarship.
