The August degrees boost the 2014-15 graduate numbers to over 125 Alabama athletes.
Three-time NCAA champion Remona Burchell, one of the fastest women sprinters in NCAA track and field history, leads a group nine All-American performers who earned degrees following the summer semester. Others include current Tennessee Titans lineman Chance Warmack, swimmer Kristel Vourna, and track and field standouts Nia Barnes and Yanique Malcolm.
Four gymnastics All-Americas – Lauren Beers, Kaitlyn Clark, Ashley Sledge, and Kayla Williams – are taking part in commencement. Williams and Sledge are both receiving graduate degrees.
Among the summer graduates, a half-dozen are earning their bachelor degrees in less than four years, including two, Beers – a two-time NCAA Elite 89 Award winner – and baseball player Mitch Greer, who both graduated in just three years. There are also two other Academic All-Americas in addition to Randolph with Beers and Barnes both earning the honor twice during their careers.
