Nick Saban Pleased To Win Against MT

Number two ranked Alabama (2-0) faced Conference USA neighbor Middle Tennessee (1-1) at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday afternoon in Tuscaloosa. The final outcome of 37-10 in favor of the Tide was expected. Nick Saban although pleased with the win was not entirely thrilled with the offensive and defensive miscues.

His halftime on-field interview reflected the displeasure, “Well, you know we haven’t played very well. We’re not executing very well on offense or defense. We’ve got to get off the field on third down when you play these fast ball teams. We’ve got them third-and-long a couple times and we don’t get off the field. We have done a good job of getting turnover. We made some plays and played better as time went on. We just need to play better. This is disappointing, but you’ve got to give their kids some credit. They’re doing a good job.”

Watch and listen to the entire post game comments from Nick Saban. He candidly critique’s the performance of the Alabama team and hopes for the near future. The frequently discussed quarterback situation is addressed along with pass defense and takeaways. Middle Tennessee provided an opportunity for the Tide to compete against a hurry up no huddle offense for the first time this season. The scheme and tempo is similar to next weeks’s SEC Western Division opponent, Ole Miss (2 -0). Game time at home next Saturday is set for 8:15 PM CT on ESPN.
