Robert Foster Rising Star For Tide

Robert Foster contributed to three scoring streaks on Saturday in the Tide’s 37-10 win over Middle Tennessee (1-1) at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa. The redshirt sophomore hauled in a 19-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Jacob Coker on the second offensive drive. Alabama has now found pay dirt in 185 consecutive games, the longest in program’s history.

The first half points was the 105th in succession for the Tide, longest in the nation. Additionally, the 6-2, 194 pound wide receiver has recorded touchdown receptions in his first two career starts. Yesterday was the first time the home crowd witnessed the feat. Robert Foster finished the afternoon with four receptions, 49 yards and the 19-yard touchdown catch was his longest of the day.

Early indications appear the two first year starters, Jacob Coker and Foster, are developing a dynamic quarterback-to-receiver chemistry. Future Alabama (2-0) opponents will undoubtedly focus on disrupting the prolific combination. The soft-spoken playmaker explains the reasons for his progress on the field.
