Ar'Mond Davis 2nd Commit For Bama Basketball

Avery Johnson scored another recruit for the 2016 class today as shooting guard Ar'Mond Davis pledged his commitment to Alabama. The outstanding 6-6, 180 pound Tacoma (WA) native averaged 10.9 ppg and grabbed 3.9 rebounds per contest in 2014-15 for College of Southern Idaho.

Ar'Mond Davis led the Golden Eagles in scoring four times with a high of 23 twice. Coming off the bench, he was the second leading scorer as a freshman. Three times he was tied or had the highest rebound totals grabbing eight twice and seven once. He had game highs of six steals, six assists and two blocks during the 34-game schedule. College of Southern Idaho won 31 games and finished ninth at the National Junior College Athletic Association Division 1 Men's Tournament in Hutchinson, Kansas.

Originally a Memphis Tiger commit, Davis averaged 26.3 ppg as a senior at Foss High School in Tacoma (WA).

Alabama, Memphis, Missouri, Penn State, Texas and Texas A&M were among the schools showing interest and extending offers. He officially visited Tuscaloosa on September 18th. Per his Twitter account on the 20th, Davis said, "I had wonderful time on my official visit to Alabama! Thank you all for the love! Love the coaching staff and the players!! Roll Tide!"

He announced his commitment to Alabama today via Twitter stating, "Truly blessed to be committed to The University of Alabama. Love the coaches and players.",
