Alabama Honors Seniors This Saturday

Although this week’s Alabama football game against Charleston Southern isn’t a headline-grabber (other than for those wanting to vent on Bama’s schedule rather than recognizing that the Crimson Tide has played one of the nation’s toughest schedules), Alabama senior players are in the news.

Alabama went through a 90-minute practice Thursday in shells in the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility to put final touches on the plan for Saturday’s game against Charleston Southern in Bryant-Denny Stadium. Kickoff will be at 3 p.m. CST with the SEC Network televising the game.

Prior to the game the Crimson Tide will honor its seniors, and Bama Coach Nick Saban has urged Alabama fans to participate by showing their support for the players making final appearances in Bryant-Denny.

To date, the seniors have been part of teams that have a record of 45-6 over the past four years, one of the best in the nation. This class won the 2012 and 2014 Southeastern Conference championships and were part of the 2012 National Championship team.

Seniors being honored on Saturday are:

Parker Barrineau, Jacob Coker, Paden Crowder, David D’Amico, Denzel Devall, Kenyan Drake, Ty Flournoy-Smith, Nick Gauna, Alex Harrelson, Stephen Hodge, Dominick Jackson, Bernel Jones, Cyrus Jones, Ryan Kelly, Darren Lake, Dillon Lee, Isaac Luatua, Geno Matias-Smith, Richard Mullaney, Michael Nysewander, D.J. Pettway, Reggie Ragland, Jarran Reed, Bradley Sylve, and Jabriel Washington.

Following Saturday’s game, the Tide will close out regular season play with a trip to Auburn on Nov. 28.
