Richard Mullaney Scores On Senior Day

Richard Mullaney may have the best hands of all the current Alabama wide receivers. The fifth-year senior transfer from Pac 12 member Oregon State caught a single pass on senior day at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa. A spectacular leaping 21-yard grab was the third of four first quarter touchdowns for the Tide.

Further review overturned the original on the field out of bounds call by officials and Alabama (#2, 10-1, 6-1) was awarded another six points. Richard Mullaney hands down exhibits the biggest post game smile of all Tide players. The 6-3, 208 pound native Californian beams throughout the entire Q&A session with media members. He has 29 receptions totaling 282 yards in 11 games and four receiving touchdowns in 2015.

Mullaney returned a second quarter punt eight yards to the Charleston Southern 35. Wide receiver Calvin Ridley hauled in a 14-yard reception for a first down. On the ensuing play, quarterback Jacob Coker tossed the ball in the end zone allowing the confident pass catcher an opportunity for the acrobatic score.

He met with members of the media following the commanding 56-6 win over Charleston Southern (9-2, 6-0).
