Alabama Places 10 On Coaches All-SEC

As would be expected, Southeastern Conference champion Alabama, the nation’s second-ranked team, dominated the All-SEC team selected by the league’s football coaches.

Alabama placed seven men on the first team and 10 total selections, both the most of any team. This is the eighth consecutive year the Crimson Tide has had the most honorees on the Coaches All-SEC Team.

Heisman Trophy finalist Derrick Henry, senior center Ryan Kelly, and sophomore lineman Cameron Robinson were the Tide’s representatives on the first-team offense. Junior defensive lineman Jonathan Allen, sophomore defensive lineman A'Shawn Robinson, senior linebacker Reggie Ragland, and junior safety Eddie Jackson were placed on the first-team defense.

Senior offensive lineman Dominick Jackson, freshman wide receiver Calvin Ridley, and junior place-kicker Adam Griffith represented Alabama on the second team.

The SEC individual award winners will be released on Wednesday and the SEC All-Freshman Team will be announced on Thursday.

USA Today also announced its All-America team on Tuesday with four Crimson Tide players honored -- Henry, Ragland and Kelly on the first team, Robinson second team.
