Nick Saban Makes Annual Trek to Mobile’s Senior Bowl

Nick Saban is annually in contention for national championships. One reason is he is a relentless recruiter able to attract top talented prospects to Tuscaloosa. Once on campus the persistent task master develops their abilities preparing them for the ultimate goal of playing in the NFL. Consequently invitations from the All-Star game hosting the top tier talent seek out Crimson Tide players.

The Senior Bowl practice held at Fairhope High School hosted the South squad on Tuesday afternoon.  Just like any proud teacher, Nick Saban attended the workout session to check on his former Alabama Crimson Tide pupils – QB Jacob Coker, RB Kenyan Drake, DT Jarran Reed, LB Reggie Ragland and CB Cyrus Jones

He spent a few moments addressing the assembled media before visiting with the accomplished group of five.  Saban was beaming with pride and spoke glowingly of the selected group from Tuscaloosa and the significance of competing in the 67th Annual Senior Bowl.  A light rain did not interrupt the interview as recruiting, current status of certain players and the nuances of the NFL Draft were broached.  He explained the meaning of two key words frequently appearing in evaluation reports.  Positive comments are associated with one and negative connotations attached to the other.
