Tarik Black Cream of Crop 2017 East Coast Wide Receiver Talks Alabama Football

Cheshire, Conn - Nick Saban has reached across the country to land top prospects at many positions. Super talented Amari Cooper and Calvin Ridley migrated north from the Sunshine state of Florida to don the crimson and white. Robert Foster traveled South from the Keystone state of Pennsylvania. Alabama continually scans North America in search of the next superstar pass catcher.

The no. one East coast wide receiver from the 2017 class received an offer from Nick Saban in May of 2015.  Tarik Black is a highly productive 6-4, 207 pound product of Cheshire Academy (Conn).  The Nutmeg state native born at Yale-New Haven Hospital has caught 124 passes for 28 touchdowns in 26 games while accumulating 2,365 receiving yards.  Benching 260 pounds and capable of running in the 4.4 range, Black has the size, speed and strength to torment opposing defenses.

BamaMag.com visited with Rik pronounced "Reek" and Head Coach David Dykeman Wednesday evening on the picturesque campus of Cheshire Academy.  “The recruiting experience has been great.  Sort of overwhelming but I’m definitely blessed to have gone through this experience,” replied Black wearing a Crimson-logoed “A” visor.  “How many kids would love to be recruited?”  He has an impressive 24 firm offers from Power Five Conferences across the land.
